I am unable to locate who his parents are. I was able to find his grandparents & aunts & uncles, but not able to locate his parents. On the 1870 census, I found Frank living with William & Susan Shepherd when he was 9, but also there was a child by the name of Teressa Pryer that was 8, living with them also. I know that Susan Shepherd had married John Pryer in Oct of 1862 & then died in 1868. I was wondering if Frank was her child that she had before she married John Pryer. Also, on the 1880 census, I found Frank living with his Uncle William Shepherd his aunt Hannah & their children & also his grandmother Susan Swartz Shepherd. I have researched all of Susans brothers & sisters & have not been able to find anyone else that would fit with having Frank as there child except for Susan. I have tried to search all kinds of records to locate his parents but I have been unsuccessful. I was hoping to try to c! ome from another angle to find out if Susan was his mother or not, or hoping that someone might have any information on who his parents are. Frank was my grandmothers father but she was not to fond of him & unfortunetly she doesnt know. I have been able to research back to England on the Shepherds, but I am stuck at who Franks parents are. I was told that Frank Shepherd was half Indian, but have not been able to find anything to back this up. If you have any information on this or know of anywhere I could possibly find this information, I would really appreciate it. Thank you for your time. Christy
