Tomlinson, 82, Emlenton RD 1, a former Fairmount City resident, who died Monday, May 27, 1985. Born Dec. 8, 1902 in Clarion county, he was the son of Martin VanBuren Tomlinson and Roseanna Waldron Tomlinson. He was married to Florence Shellhammer who preceded him in death in July 1967. He then married Nettie K. Mullican on June 10, 1968, who survives. He was a member of United Mineworkers No. 6986. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Merritt (Helen) Voland, of Vandergrift; one granddaughter, Mrs. Alden (Tina) Voland Scot II, of Vandergrift; five sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Josephine) Hughes and Mrs. Floss Bowser, both of Vandergrift, Mrs. Doyle (Genevra) Shick, Walkchalk, Mrs. Rosetta Claypool, Buffalo, N.Y., and Mrs. Essie Bills, Melvindale, Mich. Visitation was held May 29 and 30 at the Criswell-Gardinier Funeral Home in Emlenton. Services were held at the funeral home with the Rev. Garry Bates, pastor of the First Church of God, Parker, officiating. Burial was in Emlenton Cemetery.
