Criswell, 79, of 389 Alden Drive, Lancaster, a former Emlenton resident, died at 7:26 p.m., Wednesday Mar 10, 1993, in Moravian Manor in Lititz, Lancaster, County. Born Jun 30, 1913 in Parker, she was a daughter of Lillian Black and Gerald Arthur Coe. On Jan. 15, 1931, she married Robert F. Criswell. He died in 1968. Mrs. Criswell owned and operated Criswell Funeral Home in Emlenton for 13 years after her husband's death. She was a member of Emlenton Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Criswell moved to Lancaster to be near her family. She is survived by a son, Robert F. Criswell, Jr. of Lancaster; a sister, Mrs. Albert (Susan) Goodgasell of Henderson, NV ; three grandsons and two step grandsons. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Earl Stoops, and three brothers, Howard Coe, Chester Coe and Forest Coe..Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Sunday at the Crisswell-Gardinier Funeral Home in Emlenton with Rev. James Gillespie, retired Presbyterian minister and formerly of Emlenton Presbyterian Church officiated. Interment followed in Crawford Memorial Cemetery, Emlenton.
