Hi Listers, How do I go about getting marriage records from the late 1920s through the 1950s in Venango County? Can you tell me the cost? And what about divorce records and the cost for them? My great uncle, Thomas Austin Eakin, b 1907, was married at least 5 times it seems, sometimes in Butler Co., sometimes Venango Co. Would his marriage notices likely have been printed in the newspaper, or is that something that generally didn't happen after the first few marriages? I know my grandmother must have been terribly embarrassed by the scandal of it all. She never told me about any of his wives, or anything about him, for that matter.
