Pa Query Forum Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Pa/Venango/2510 Surname: Brewster, Black ------------------------- Looking for information on Lucas Byron Brewster who married Mary Rebecca Black on Jan 7, 1881 in "Dean City", Venango County by the Rev. John Lusher of Clintonville. Lucas was the son of Joel Harmon Brewster of New York and decends from William Brewster of the Mayflower. He fought for the 8th Cav. of New York, but filed for a pension in PA. Lucas worked in the oil fields of Venango as an oil pumper. I know that in the late 1890's he moved to Washington Co., PA, but was back in Venango Co. staying with his daughter, Inez Brewster when he died in 1910. His wife's family was also in Venango Co.( John Black-father and J. T. Black a brother-in-law of Lucas) Any information on Lucas, his wife, or children would be greatly appreciated. Sheri
