I have a copy of his Coat of Arms. Pvt. of Captain William McClelland Company B., 1st Regiment of Lt. Arty, Penna. Volunteers, he was born sometime in 1844 or 1845 in Venango County, it is spelled that way on his Coat of Arms. enrolled the 25th day of January, one thousand eight hundred and 64 to serve 3 years or during the war., discharged 9th day of June 1865 at Harrisburg Penna. he was 20 years old at this time, 5 feet 6 inches high, light complexion, grey eyes, brown hair and by occupation when enrolled, a Woolen Manufacturer., he would be my great, great grandfather.
