Clay, 71, of 181 S. Front St., Steelton, died February 22, 1966, at the Harrisburg Hospital. He was a retired employee of the Steelton Plant of the Bethlehem Steel Co. Mr. Clay was a member of the Steelton Fifth Ward Republican Club, Steelton Democratic Club and United Steelworkers of America, Local 1688. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Agnes Rapp Clay; two sons, James, with the U.S. Navy, Washington, D. C., and Philip Clay, Harrisburg; three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Byrd, with whom he resided, Mrs. Mary Wright, Bressler, and Mrs. Patricia Priar, Enola; two brothers, George, Steelton, and Albert Clay, Harrisburg; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Hemperly, Hummelstown, Mrs. Nora Batill, and Mrs. Thelma Dare, both of Harrisburg, and Mrs. Sara Harvey, Chamber Hill; and 12 grandchildren. Services were held at funeral home at 357 S. Second St., Steelton. With Rev. Leonard Casey officiating. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery, Harrisburg, PA.
