Shick, 68, of Emlenton, a retired employee of Q.S. Oil Refining Corp. Mr. Shick died Sunday evening, Feb. 29, 1976, in Franklin Hospital. He was born in Coolspring, June 30, 1907, a son of George McClelland and Lillie Neill Shick. He retired from Q.S. in 1972 after 43 years of service. After retiring, he worked part time as a painter and paperhanger. Mr. Shick was a member of the U.M. Church. He was married to the former Helen Giering of Emlenton. She survives along with 3 daughters, Mrs. Charles (Joanne) McNany of Meadville, Mrs. Allen (Betty) Lipko of Kennerdell & Mrs. Dwight (Carole) Stover of Knox; 12 grandchildren and a great grandson.. Surviving also are four sisters, Mrs. Florence Noel of Erie, Mrs. George (Nellie) Carrier of Long Beach, Calif.; Mrs. Annabelle Geist, and Mrs. Nettie Balas of Buffalo, N.Y., and 2 brothers, Roy Shick of Marienville and George Shick of Mon! tana. His parents and a sister Eva are deceased. Interment was in Emlenton Cemetery.
