A native of Erie, he was a son of James and Betty Pertz Champion. He was employed as an auditor with Sohio Oil Co., Houston. His parents survive, along with a sister, Mrs. Fred (Elizabeth) Pollard of Lawrence Park. The funeral will be at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Erie, Thursday and burial will follow in Emlenton Cemetery with a graveside service there at 3 p.m.
