(Shorty) Campbell, 78, of Emlenton RD 1 died Monday morning, February 6, 1984, at the Westly Manor Nursing Home. Born October 5, 1905, in Byron Center, he was a son of the late William H. and Rilla Irwin Campbell. He married the former Thelma Dunkle, who preceded him in death November 1, 1979. He was employed as a maintenance supervisor for Quaker State Oil Refining Corp. before his retirement. He was a member of Emlenton Presbyterian Church and a charter member of the Emlenton Ambulance Service. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Florence Bowser of Kittanning and Mrs. Ralph (Virginia) Toy of Templeton RD 1. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one infant brother. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today at the Criswell-Garner Funeral Home, Main Street, Emlenton. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday in the funeral home with Rev. Darrell Knopp, pastor of Emlenton Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Emlenton Cemetery.
