She was born June 20, 1909, in Callensburg, a daughter of James Frederick and Rachel Dunkle Thomas. She was married to Shirley Elmer Singleton who preceded her in death in July 1963. Mrs. Singleton moved to Emlenton in 1920. She was a member of St. John United Church in Christ in Emlenton. Surviving are one son, Donald C. Singleton of Summerville; one daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Jean Smith of Monroe, La.; and three grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, George Thomas of Knox; and two sisters, Mrs. Louise King and Mrs. Margaret Mullen of Emlenton RD 1. A sister, Sarah, and two brothers, Robert and Dale, preceded her in death. Friends may call at the Robert F. Criswell Funeral Home in Emlenton from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today. Services will be held there at 1 pm Sunday with Rev. Richard Luh, pastor of St. John Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will be in Emlenton Cemetery.
