Long of Emlenton, who worked in her family's furniture store and was active in many church organization, died early Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Long had been hospitalized for about a week due to a fractured hip. Born March 18, 1892, in Eau Claire, she was the daughter of Thomas A.O. and Mary McGinnis Miller. She attended Eau Claire Academy and worked in her father's drug store there. On November 8, 1919, she married Emil Long Sr. He died in 1961. Mrs. Long was a member of the Associate Presbyterian Church for many years. Later, she joined the Emlenton United Presbyterian Church and was active in several organizations there. Mrs. Long was a member of the Associate Presbyterian Church for many years. Later, she joined the Emlenton United Presbyterian Church and was active in several organizations there. Mrs. Long was also an avid antique collector and a member of the Emlenton Civic Club. For many years, she traveled throughout the country searching for antiques. She also took an active interest in the family's furniture store in Emlenton. Surviving are one son, Emil Long Jr. of Emlenton RD 3, three granddaughters, Linda, Suzanne, and Leah Long, and one niece, Mary Ann Elder of Erie. She was preceded in death by one son. David, and two brothers, Andrew Owen and Rutherford B. Miller. Friends may call from 1 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm today at Mrs. Long's home on Main Street in Emlenton. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Tuesday at the Emlenton United Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in Emlenton Cemetery.
