She was born October 22, 1922, in Cyrus, a daughter of Lewis and Nettie Hoffman Latchaw. She was married to Leonard Confer on July 31, 1941, and he survives. Mrs. Confer had resided in Emlenton since she was eight years old. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Alan Confer of Emlenton; two daughters, Mrs. Lane (Teresa) Taylor of Smethport and Mrs. Scott (Joan) Parks of Parker; one brother, Lewis Levere Latchaw of Newport, N.C.; a sister, Mrs. Russell (Vera) McGinnis of Emlenton; and five grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9pm today and from 2 to 4 pm Wednesday at the Criswell-Gardinier Funeral Home in Emlenton. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday in the funeral home with Re. Darell Knopp, pastor of the United Presbyterian Church of Emlenton, officiating. Interment will be in Emlenton Cemetery.
