PRINTED NOV.29,1986 PG.20 Mrs.Maude Stanton Mrs.Maude E. Stanton,82,of Franklin RD1 (35 Maple Grove)died at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Franklin Regional Medical Center. Born April 9,1904,in Franklin,she was the daughter of Harry and Maude Estella Arbuckle Pyle. Mrs.Stanton attended the Cavalry Baptist Church in Franklin.Her hobbies were reading,growing house plants,and crocheting. She married John S.Ward who preceded her in death in 1967.She then married Walter H.Stanton in 1968 and he survives. Mrs.Stanton also survived by four sons,John Ward of Meadville,Harry Ward of Gordon,Neb.,and Kenneth Ward and Melvin Ward,both of Franklin;three daughters,Mrs.Maxine Crye of Bullion,and Mrs.Maude Ellen Ward and Mrs.Donald (Mary Ann)Campbell,both of Rockland;a step-son Delbert Stanton of Oil City;and two step-daughters,Mrs.Nelson(Sonja)Pophan of Walton,Ky.,and Mrs.Nancy Rose of Johnstown. Also surviving are six brothers,Earl Pyle of Houston,Harold Pyle of New York,Thomas Pyle of Grand Valley,John Pyle of Franklin,Melvin Pyle of Titusville,and Leonard Pyle of Buffalo;a sister,Mrs.Erma Peterson of Franklin;27 grandchildren;and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to her first husband and parents,Mrs.Stanton was preceded in death by a daughter,Ruth Ward,and two brothers Augustus and James Pyle. The Robert W.Gardinier Funeral Home in Franklin is in charge of arrangements.
