She was a former Emlenton resident. Born December 19, 1893, at Guys Mills, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Inex Brymer Briggs. She married Archie W. Ferguson in 1912. He preceded her in death in November of 1957. Mrs. Ferguson attended Emlenton High School and lived in the community until 1963 before moving to Cheswick. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Emlenton and the Ladies Emlenton Rebekah Lodge. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Edinger of Knox; two sons, William S. Ferguson of Cheswick and Frederick F. Ferguson of Seaside, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; three sisters, Gladness, Gay and Stella and a brother John. She was preceded in death by a son, Archie Jr., who was killed in World War II in Luzon. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the William N. Rupert Funeral Home in Knox.
