He had been stricken ill at his home. A native and life long resident of the area he was born October 3, 1910, in Oil City, a son of the late Edmond C. And Anna Almen Breene. He and his wife, the former Jane Crawford were married June 11 1938, in Emlenton and she survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. John Richard Gilger of Oil City, Mrs Robert Milliken of Emlenton and Mrs. Robert Husley of New York City; four brothers, James O. of Chandler, AZ, Edmond C. Of Tulsa, OK, Daniel A. Of Winchester, KY and Samuel A. Breene of Oil City; and five grandchildren, John Eric, Elizabeth Ann and Jane Breene Gilger, Amy Elizabeth and Allison Jane Milliken. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the family residence. Rev. James Gillespie, pastor of the United Presbyterian Church of Emlenton, will officiate. Interment will be in Crawford Memorial Cemetery of Emlenton.
