Posted on: Venango Co. Pa Query Forum Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/genbbs.cgi/USA/Pa/Venango/2663 Surname: Perry, Stanley, Karns, Stroup ------------------------- I am not a member the family of Florence Perry Yarnell, of Venango County, but according to the marriage license at the Venango Co. courthouse, Thomas L. Perry's wife recorded her name as Emma Jennette Stanley. The 1900 census enumeration for the Thomas L. Perry family shows her name as Emma J. and her gravestone at the Heckathorn Cemetery in Cranberry Tp., Venango Co. reads Emma J. So I think we can safely say that her name was Emma Jennette. Now as for the spelling of her maiden name, that is another matter--Stanley or Standley. Emma Jennette's marriage license records it as Stanley, however, her sister who married Thomas Perry's brother wrote her name as Standley. Hmm... As far as the William Perry and ELiza Karns family, I don't know how much you are interested in so below is a list of their children: ELIZA KARNES, dau. of James Karnes and Mary Stroup, b. Source are generally Venango Co. marriage license; Heckathorn Cemetery gravestones; 1900 census for Cranberry Tp.; and obits from either the Derrick or one of the Franklin papers (News Herald or Citizen Press). If you have any specific questions one the Perrys, Karns, or Stroups, I would be glad to help.
