Jones Samuel age 60 Brick Maker born in VT parents both born in VT Eliza wife age 60 Keeping House Born in Pa. both parents born in Pa. Melvin age 26 Farmer born in Pa. Mattie age 23 wife born in Pa. Victor R. age 1 son born in Pa. In the marriage record for Julius and Mattie,it has his middle initial being M.,maybe this stands for Melvin?The ages seem to be about right.They were also married in 1878 and had a son born about a year later,it seems like this might be a possibility.Also the name of Cook,do you think this was Mattie's middle name?I found that a lot in the census, that the tradition was they took the mother's maiden names and gave it to their children as middle names.Just a thought..Let me know if this helps.
