I have had several e-mail responses as well as the message board response. Today in the mail I received a copy of a letter that my grandfather O'Hare had written to his nephew on the occasion of the nephew's fourth birthday. It is this grandfather who was born in Shamburg. Now I know what his handwriting was like - and more importantly - it was an almost poetic message and gave me a sense of his personality. Again, many thanks for the kind and quick responses. Sally
