Pa Obituaries Forum Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Pa/VenangoObits?read=428 Surname: Williams, Warner ------------------------- Obituary David Hugh WILLIAMS, son of Elijah and Jane WILLIAMS, was born in Vango (typed as spelling appeared in obituary) County, Pa., near Polk, March 9, 1856 and passed from this life on April 5, 1941. His boyhood days were spent near Polk. In April 1879, at the age of 23 years, he came to Topeka, Kansas, not returning to his home until 1882. In 1884 he moved to Iuka, Kansas. On March 18, 1886 he was united in marriage with Nellie Frances WARNER of Springvale, Kansas. To this happy union was born seven children, two daughters, Mrs. Jaunita BOLSER of Cullison, and Florence who died at the age of 6 months; and five sons, Truman and Ernest of Cullison, Charley of Wichita, Mont of Los Angeles, Calif., and Frank of Preston. He leaves to cherish his memory his widow, Mrs. Nellie WILLIAMS, one daughter, five sons, and 6 grandchildren. Besides many nieces and nephews as well as unnumerable friends. He is the last of a large family of eleven children. Mr. Williams accepted his Lord and Saviour and was buried with Him in the water of Christian baptism in 1910 when the Christian church was organized in Cullison, Kansas. Father Williams was a kind husband, a loving father, a true friend, and a faithful Christian until the end. "You have fallen asleep leaving us heart broken, listening for your cheerful voice, looking for your cheery smile. Our only consolation is our firm hope of the meeting, where: "God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow or crying, neither shall there be any more pain."
