William Courtland FLETCHER b. 1796 England? and Matilda Delano (ADAMS) FLETCHER came to America when their daughter (my grandmother) Margaret Ann Fletcher was 6 months old b. Aug. 1832. Liverpool, Eng. Baptized 8 days old Episcopal Church of England age of 8 days. (other children was born in PA.) Matilda's brother John Quincy ADAMS (no relation to the President) came with them. Have descendants of both families but would like to find parents. They arrived in northwestern PA, Mercer Co. in Beaver Twp and was there until 1843. Fletcher had started buying land in the Borough of Clarion before 1842. (have that information). He sold his last lot in August 1854 and was a resident of Worth Twp. Mercer Co. PA then. Moved to Rush Co. IN after last lot was sold and Margaret Ann Fletcher was m. to Samuel Henderson in Franklin, PA. Where would I find a Declaration of Intent or would the Naturalization be in the same County? I have a book of Venango Co. PA of Declarations of Inention and Petitions for Naturalization. 1805-1868 VOL.1 compiled by Joyce Grill Neidich.
