He was born in Nickelville March 16, 1902, a son of Raymond & Minnie Maxwell Stroup. He was married Oct. 17, 1935, to the former Leona Simpson who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Melvin(Minnie Pearl) Girt of Franklin. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery.
