    1. [PAVENANG] Marriage Lookups
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: JayneKnew Surnames: Deike Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.pennsylvania.counties.venango/6397/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am looking for info on Frederick Deike. He had two wives, Ottilia with whom he had a son Albert in Dec 1887 in Oil City. By Mar 1889 he was in Cleveland purchasing land, no wife was listed. He had a daughter in 1892 in Cleveland with wife Augusta Bauer. I don't know where they were married either, but chances are it was Cleveland. Any info would be helpful. Author: JayneKnew Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.pennsylvania.counties.venango/6388.15.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Frederick and Ottilia's son Albert was born in Dec of 1887 and Frederick was in Cleveland, Oh purchasing land in Mar 1889, no wife was listed. By 1892 he was married to Augusta and had a child, but there is no marriage listed in Cleveland. So I assume 1888 would be a good year to look for since I assume she was available for the baptism in Jan of 1888. thanks Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. Hello, My husband is the 2nd great grandson of William L Perry through William's son Thomas Lincoln Perry. I am trying to verify what William's middle name is, his father's name and a positive tie to Ozias Perry. In your first post this week you stated that you had some lineage on this. I have some information on the Stanley's. Thomas Lincoln Perry's wife was Emma Jeannetta Stanley. Hope to hear from you. Robert Crawford Sr. and his wife Eleanor Smith Crawford may be buried on the original farm/home place. Eleanor Smith Crawford died between 1820 - 1824. Anything on Robert Crawford Jr. his brother George Crawford, two or three unknown sisters, and a younger brother, possibly named William, much appreciated. Robert Crawford Jr. born between 1790 - 1800. Thank you Judy Smith/Colorado

Not much information but some. On Karle (Charles) Pleger and Julia Radig's marriage application, it lists the parents of both Karle and Julia. Karle's parents where John and Eliz. Pleger. There is not a country of orgin for either of them. At the time of their marriage, Prussia was part of the German Empire and was listed as such. So I looked to naturalization records for a more accurate country of origin. Frederick (Sr.) is listed as from Prussia, since he naturalized before the merger. Frederick (Jr., son of Frederick) and Charles (Karle) naturalized after the merger and are listed as from German Empire. There is a Pleger book that Shirly Biechner made in the 1970's, that has the story of the Pleger family as told by either Florence or Frederick while in old age in a nursing home. My Great Grandma Rose Pleger told me that Karle (Charles) told here once that the Pleger family came from east o! f Danzig and the land was flat. Also that Ed and Rose's homestead reminded Karle (Charles) of his homeland and what he left behind. Also if you are interested, I have the names of the parents of Julia Radig. One of the facts that was interesting to find out was that the Pleger and Radig families where friends in the old country. I found that little tidbit while researching the Radig side of the family. I have a photo of the Peter's schoolhouse with 19 children and their teacher, Jennie Bell, standing in front. I estimate that it dates from about 1896 based on the fact that my grandfather, who is in the picture, looks about age 13. The photo was taken by Empire View Co. of Cochranton, Pa.
