C. McKim of Rocky Grove, Tuesday evening a 3:30 o'clock following an illness of five days. The deceased, who was the son of George and Elizabeth Snyder was born in Rockland township, Venango county, in 1843. The following children survive: Mrs. J. L. Taylor of Rockland, Mrs. Titus of Rockland, J. B. Snyder of Franklin, Mrs. Nettie King of Warren, E. C. Snyder of Rockland, Mrs. P. C. McKim of Rocky Grove, Mrs. Earl Winans of Franklin, Mrs. Thomas Seaton of Cleveland, Okla., I. R. Snyder of Edinboro, Mrs. Wayne Smiley of Erie, and S. M. Snyder of Long Beach, Calif.. Surviving Mr. Snyder also are 44 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Arrangements for the funeral had not yet been complete last night. D. 1 died at 5 a.m. Wednesday. He was born in Rockland August 8, 1873, the son of Jacob and Elizabeth Margaret Carner Snyder. He was a member of the Pine Hill Church of God. He was a driller his entire life in the Kennerdell area. He was one of the original drillers of the Queen Sand flowing wells in Tidioute. He has drilled in West Virginia, Ohio, Oklahoma and California. He is survived by his wife, the former Emma Jane Bump; three sons, Clyde of Freeport, Guy of Franklin, Russell at home; one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Ross of Meadville; and five sisters, Mrs. Nettie King of Warren, Mrs. Alice McKim of Franklin, Mrs. Minnie Winans of Meadville, Mrs. Vine Seaton of Cleveland, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Della Smiley of Erie. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The body was taken to the Womer Funeral home in Clintonville. The daughter of Jacob and Anna Snyder Schoch, she was born in Rockland Township on Aug. 27, 1866. Mrs. McKim lived in the Coal City area most of her life with the exception of the last 22 years during which she resided in Kennerdell. She was married to John McKim who died on May 3, 1951. She was a member of the Church of God. Mrs. Kim is survived by two daughters, Mrs. John B. (Della) Quinn, Kennerdell; and Mrs. Earl A. (Florence) Hedson, Morristown, N. J.; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her family. The body was removed to the Barron Chapel where friends may call at any time and where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday by Rev. Robert H. Morrison, pastor of the Coal City ! McKim of Franklin Dies Tuesday FRANKLIN - Mrs. Alice T. McKim, widow of Philip C. McKim of Franklin RD 3, died at 11:10 a.m. yesterday in the Franklin Hospital. She had been a hospital patient since May 1 and had been in failing health since the first of the year. Born April 8, 1875, in Rockland Township, she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Eliza Carner Snyder. She spent her entire life in this area and had been residing with her daughter, Mrs. Ralph Klinger the past 24 years. Mrs. McKim was well-known in this area and was the last surviving member of a family of 13. She was a charter member of the Grace EUB Church of Rocky Grove and was a member of the Good Samaritan Class of the Ladies Aid Society of the church. She was united in marriage to Philip C. McKim in 1890, who preceded her in death on Dec. 5, 1952. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Ralph (Gertrude) Klinger of Franklin RD 3; Mrs. Winifred McKim of Kennerdell; Mrs. John (Rose Ann) Bellak of Kennerdell and Walter McKim of Me! adville; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Nine children preceded her in death. Friends will be received at the Buchanan and Schmidt Funeral Home starting this afternoon. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Charles L. Rummel of the Grace EUB Church of Rocky Grove officiating. Interment will follow in Melat Cemetery. Ricalton, 75, of 419 Seventh St., widow of Robert F. Ricalton, died at 2 p.m. Wednesday in South Side Hospital at Youngstown, Ohio, where she had been a patient since July 4. A daughter of Arthur A. and Carrie Bigelow Strickenburg, she was born in Franklin August 12, 1898, and spent the greater part of her life here. She attended the Franklin public schools and graduated in 1917 from Franklin High School. She was married June 29, 1921, to Robert F. Ricalton. He died March 26, 1949. Prior to her marriage she had worked for the News-Herald in Franklin. Surviving are a son, Jack L. Ricalton of Franklin; two grandchildren, Patricia and Nancy Ricalton of Franklin; five step-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Joseph D. (Mabel) Williamson of Youngstown, Ohio. Friends will be received any time today after 7 p.m. at the Frank S. Huff Chapel, where the family will received friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and where fu! neral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Rev. Mrs. Ziegler, an active member of the Cranberry United Methodist Church for many years and active in community affairs, died Tuesday evening in Franklin Hospital, where she had been a patient since August 30. Rev. Alvin M Rhodes, pastor of the Cranberry United Methodist Church will officiate. Mrs Ziegler was born March 10, 1900 in Cranberry Township, a daughter of Harry and Dora Stroup Rhodes. She attended the public schools in Cranberry and had lived in the Cranberry area all her life. She was a member of the CLC Class of the Cranberry United Methodist Church, the Cranberry Ladies Aid and the Cranberry WCTU. She was well known for her knitting ability and knit items for many people in the area. She also did considerable sewing for her family and for others. She and Charles W. Ziegler were married February 12, 1929. ! Surviving along with her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Paul R. (Lois Ann) Rice of Franklin RD 2; three grandchildren, Mrs. John J. (Sherry Ann) Barber of Edgewood, Md., Mark Lee Rice and Betsy Ruth Rice of Franklin RD 2; five brothers, Glenn B. Rhodes of Seneca, Donald A. Rhodes of Silver Spring, Md., Boyd P. Rhodes of Oil City, Paul A. Rhodes of Texas and Robert E. Rhodes of Seneca. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Lester (Martha) Neely of Emlenton and several nieces and nephews. A brother, Ralph C. Rhodes, and a sister, Mrs. Wilbur (Trenna) Dahle, are deceased. Friends may call any time at the Frank S Huff Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today. She had been a patient since last Saturday when she suffered a fractured hip in a fall in her home. Mrs Hughes resided all her life in Rockland township until one year ago, when she moved to Franklin. She was the daughter of the late Lebbeus Bigelow and Hannah Snyder Bigelow and was born Sept. 6, 1875. She was well known in Rockland township. Surviving are three sons, Emerson E. Hughes of Oil City, Aubrey Hughes of Pittsburgh and Murrill E. Hughes of Alexandria, Va., six grandchildren, one brother, William H. Bigelow, of Franklin and one sister, Mrs. Joseph Beach of Franklin. The body was removed to the H. J. Buchanon funeral home in Franklin. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Myers about 1836. George was my mom's great-grandfather; the mill remained in the family until it was destroyed by fire in March 1934.     3. Pat, There was probably 4 or 5 digits depending upon how many phones were in use for that exchange. I can remember in the 50's when Tulsa went to 6 digit phone numbers. BTW there may be two Myers Mills. My records show Georges father, Henry (my 4th great grandfather), died at Myers Mill in Beaver township. Did the town name change?
