I believe he was a dentist in Franklin. His son, Dr. R. Faber Jordan, graduated from Franklin high school in 1929 and was a medical doctor in Pittsburgh and Clearwater, Florida. Would like to know where Dr. R.R. Jordan's office was, where he lived. His wife's name may have been Charlotte. He had another son, Joseph, who lives/lived in Battle Creek, Michigan.

    3. This virus is passed by sending a file through the signature in Outlook Express. If you are concerned, please do a file find for kak, and if you find any, you are infected. It is relatively easy to clear up, but it also spreads very easy. If you are infected, you are sending it out as a signature file with every email you send. Please check by looking at Tools - Options - Signatures. When I had this at work it showed a default file, but down below it showed that the default file is the kak file. I can't find an Oil City Cemetery and hope that someone can help. He married an Esther Marie Braden (1837-1927) somewhere in Pennsylvania. (Jan. 23) at the home of his son, Edward S. McAlevy, 111 Imperial St., from a complication of diseases. Born Jan. 31, 1852 in Jackson Twp., Venango Co., son of Samuel A. and Adesta (Williams) McAlevy. Came to Oil City in 1872, resided here until 1915 when he retired and moved to Seneca. He and wife returned to Oil City a few weeks ago. Married Ophelia Fritz on Jan. 8, 1880. She survives with three children; Grace A. McAlevy, attorney Edward S. McAlevy and George F. McAlevy. Also leaves a sister, Mrs. J. T. Johnson of Akron, Ohio; a brother, John A. McAlevy of Hatton, Ark. and four grandchildren. News-Herald - Feb 14, 1942 Ophelia McAlevy - 89, widow of Achilles M. McAlevy. Died at the home of her son, E. S. McAlevy, of 120 Cowell Ave., on Fri. (Feb 13). Daughter of Franklin R. and Nancy G. Fritz; born at Matildaville, Clarion Co., Pa., Sept. 25, 1852. Lived with her family in various parts of Clarion Co. until 1863 when they came to Oil City. Father built one of the first South Side houses in 1864, on Front Street, west of Petroleum Street. Family lived there until 1868. Member of Grace Methodist Church. In 1868 a group of local residents, including the Fritz family left for Tennessee. Had built a large house boat that went down the Allegheny & Ohio Rivers with household goods, farming equipment and cattle. At Louisville they sold the boat and traveled to near Nashville where they bought land. It was a failure and the group returned. She married Jan. 8, 1880 and has lived in Oil City since except for 10 years at Seneca. Husband died Jan. 24, 1927. Leaves three children: Grace, Edward S. and George F.; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral at home of E. S. McAlevy on Mon. (Feb. 16). Interment in Grove Hill Cemetery.

Smith, 78, of Shippenville, who owned Smith's Garage in Cranberry for many years, died at 8:30 p.m. yesterday at Franklin Hospital. A native of Whitehall, he was born Oct. 10, 1899 and was a son of Samuel C. and Minnie Levy Smith. He spent most of his life in the Rockland and Cranberry areas, attending Rockland school. First employed by Franklin Steel Co., he later worked for Chicago Pneumatic Tool. In 1945, he started Smith's Garage in Cranberry which he operated for a number of years prior to retiring. In 1975, he sold the garage business. He was married to the former Theodora Stewart on June 21, 1924, and she died July 11, 1962. He married Mildred Hogue on June 8, 1963, and she survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Grant A. (Marjorie) Hanst, Mrs. Robert L. (June) Hogue, and Mrs. Russel L, (Ruth) Rinker; two sons, James D. Smith and Samuel F. Smith. Also survivng are a brother, Fred M. Smith of Franklin, two sisters, Ethel Smith, Titusville, and Mrs. Carl (Anna) Switzer of Bradford; 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Four brothers, Norman, Charles, Lawrence, and Kenneth Smith, died previously, as did two sisters, Mrs. Stances (Luella) DeLong and Mrs. Harvey (Hazel) DeLong. The Rev. Paul L. Zook, pastor of Victory Heights United Brethren Church will officiate at the 1:30 P.M. Wednesday funeral service at Huff Chapel. Internment will be in the Brandon Cemetery. Waits, enlisted from Franklin, Venango County, PA in Company F of the 18th Regmt. He survived the war and moved away with his family around 1865.

He was born May of 1837 in Wurtemburg Germany. His parents were also born in the same according to the 1880 Pittsburg Alleghany Co census for John SR.. He married a Margaret Saucher in 1861. She was born in Switzerland- her parents born in the same. I am wondering if John SR. connects to Christian.
