    3. Sugar Valley is located along Interstate 80 in Clinton County, Pennsylvania. Access to Sugar Valley can be gained from either Exit 27 (Loganton Exit - mile marker 186) or Exit 28 (Jersey Shore Exit - mile marker 192). Route 880 is the main thoroughfare in the valley, providing access to the individual townships and municipalities that make up the community. ----- Original Message ----- From: <Raindarr@aol.com> To: <PAVENANG-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, November 08, 2000 10:32 AM Subject: [PAVENANG-L] Sugar Valley, PA? > Does anybody know where Sugar Valley is in Pennsylvania, or was, back in the > early 1800's? 2. henry phillips
    3. Hi Penny, Did not realize you were the Penny that has helped me so much. Are you a Reisinger (Risinger)? I am a Reisinger descendant. My direct line, Elizabeth Reisinger the daughter of William and Mary Reisinger married to Andrew Peterman around 1786/8 in either York Co. or Washington Co. PA. All the early Reisinger originated from Johann Nicholas Reisinger from Niederingelheim, Germany. and he came with son (over 16), and wife and other children who were females or males under 16, on the Sailing ship Dragon on September 26, 1749 into the harbour of Philadelphia. They went almost immediately to the York Co. PA. William and Mary Reisinger has the following children which were listed in William Reisinger's will filed in Washington Co. PA. The children were Elizabeth born around 1771, Henry born around 1775, Williams born around 1776/8, Jacob born on May 4th. 1777, George born around 1779, and John born around 1780. There could have been more children, but were not listed in the will. There appears to be a couple of generations between your Henry Reisinger born around 1823 , and what I have. I have some information on the children for the men listed above in the will. But I do not have the generation after that, and that is probably the generation needed here. Let me know if I can help you. Tarrs are descendants of George Tarr (1766-1845), an early settler of Cherrytree Tp. Despite the efforts of many researchers, we are stuck at George Tarr. Several references state that he was of German descent from eastern Pennsylvania. I would really like to know more about Christian Derr and his children that came to Venango Co. Cheers, Kipp Melat
