Robert and Amelia had 10 children. Most of them (I believe 8) were born in Oil City, PA. Would the Court House there have any birth certificates there? Or do I need to go elsewhere?

Born January 7, 1899 the son of John A and Dora Alter Eagles, he attended school and lived in Franklin all his life. Married October 13, 1919 to Georgia B Mihleder who died January 24, 1970. He worked at Franklin Post Office for 38 years before he retired in 1957, then he worked for 5 years for the commonwealth as a custodian for the Department of Public Welfare in the Galena Building. He was an ardent sportsman, enjoyed hunting and fishing. A charter memeber of Izaak Walton League, and belonged to the Rainbow Sportsman's Club. Member of First United Methodist Church. Survived by two sons, Edward A "Ted" of Cape May NJ and John G Eagles of DeWittville NY; a daughter, Mrs Albert A (Dora) Mazzeo of Erie; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Margaret, Ruth, Helen, Marion deceased. Services Wednesday at Huff Chapel, Rev Herbert Pennington officiating. Burial in Franklin Cemetery.

Van Geisen, an aged and highly respected member of this community passed away at her home, 219 Birch street last evening, death resulting from infirmaties at tending Old age. Mrs. Van Geisen, who was born at President, Pa. October 1,1849, has been a resident of Kane for the past 35 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Van Geisen, five years ago. Surviving her are the following children, Mrs. Cora Maybee, Kane; Mrs Charles Daniels, Bridgeton, NJ, Mrs B G Lord and Mrs James Donaldson, Kane; Archie and Melvin Van Geisen of this city, Fitfeen grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon from her late home at two oclock and from the Methodist Episcopal chuch of which she was a lifelong member at 2:30 oclock. The Rev W E Bartlett will officiate. Interment will be made at the Forest Lawn Cemetary. Friends may call a the home, Saturday evening, Sunday afternoon and Monday until noon."

He was living in Prospect Borough of Butler County in 1870 (listed as William Rodgers) with wife Minnie (Lydia) and son George. The family moved to Rockland Township of Venango County by 1880. Wilson Rodgers was born between 1839-44 in Pennyslvania. His wife Lydia was born about 1846 in Pennsylvania. Their children are George Adison Rodgers (born 19 Jan 1868), Harry Rodgers (born abt 1872), and Jennie Blanche Rodgers (born 1874).
