He was born in Arkwright N.Y. 1875 and died in Oil City Feb 1932. He lived in Oil City from 1918-1932 and was the manager at the Oil refinery. His wife's name was Grace and he had two children Leon and Martha. Leon had two children Robert Tarbox and Mary Louise Blansett. Martha married Thomas White and had two children but I don't know their names. I need more information to fill in my many holes. I would love to connect with his descendants. Philip was my Great-Great Uncle but little is known about him. Philips mother was Hersa Peebles Tarbox.

Irene Lewis, 85, formerly of 801 Allegheny Ave. died at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the Peaceful Valley Rest Nursing Home at Chochranton RD., PA. Born November 8 1893, in Emlenton, she was the daughter of Harry L. And Catherine Eddinger Morrison. She married Walter S. Lewis on October 14, 1913. He preceded her in death on October 31, 1965. Mrs. Lewis was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church. She also belonged to the Queen Esther White Shrine and the Holly Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving are a son, Walter Jack Lewis of Brecksville, OH; a daughter, Mrs Walter W. (Dorothy) Wygant of Seneca; a brother, Bernard Morrison of Seneca; two sisters, Mrs. Paul Rembold and Mrs. Henry Stuck both of Oil City; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents and husband were an infant son, Robert James Lewis, a brother, Joseph Morrison and a sister Margaret Slater. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home with Rev. Merle Wonderling, retired Methodist minister, and Rev. Victor Redfoot, pastor of the Seneca United Methodist church, officiating. Interment will be in the Grove Hill Cemetery.

Born December 7 1893, at Emlenton RD 1, she was a daughter of B. W. and Laverna Fredericks Ritchey. Her husband, Frank Ritts, died July 27 1942. Mrs. Ritts was a 50 year member of the Emlenton Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of the Emlenton United Presbyterian Church. Surviving are two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Clarence (Bertha) Stewart and Mrs. Homer (Lois) Hess of Emlenton, and a number of nieces and nephews. Rev. Darrell Knoop, pastor of the Emlenton United Presbyterian church, will officiate at services on Thursday October 28. Interment will be in the Emlenton Cemetery.

Mull died at his home in Emlenton, PA Saturday afternoon, December 22, 1928 as the result of an attack of heart trouble from which he had been a sufferer for several years. Mr. Mull was born February 18, 1849 at Mull's Corners, near Emlenton and was a son of the late Abraham and Hannah Gilger Mull, both deceased pioneer residents of this neighborhood. For the past 33 years he was a resident of Emlenton. His wife passed away 19 years ago while he was on a pleasure trip through the west. At various times he followed farming, the mercantile business and oil operating being successful in each of these undertakings. He was a member of the Methodist church and will long be remembered for his many acts of benevolence. The deceased is survived by one brother, Charles Mull, of near Emlenton and several nephews and nieces. Funeral services were held at his late home on Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J.G. Ginader, of Warren, PA. A former pastor of the Emlenton Methodist church. Interment was made in the Emlenton Cemetery.

She was employed for 20 years at Castlewood Country Club in Pleasanton, Calif. She was a member of Shasta County Foster Grandparents for nine years. Surviving are two sons, Dr. David Lee DeGeorge of Princeton, N.J. and James N. DeGeorge of Redding, Calif.; a daughter Susan Gillette of Denver, Colo.; six grandsons; five granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter. She also is survived by two sisters, Susan West of Strattanville and Nelrose Mahoney of Moraga Calif.; two brothers, David S. Shirey of Escondido, Calif. and K. She attended Clarion Normal School and taught school for several years. Mrs. Ritts was a member of the United Church of Christ in Lamartine, where she had played the piano and the organ. She also was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Emlenton. Mrs. Ritts was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting. She was married Sept. 9, 1933, to Warren W. Ritts, who died Sept. 14, 1967. Surviving are two sons and their wives, Fred and Barbara Ritts of Seneca and Bennett and Marilyn Ritts of Emlenton; one daughter, Mrs. Warren (Martha) Wallace of Casper, Wy; six grandchildren, Bruce Ritts of Erie, Sharon Blauser of Greenville, Steven Ritts of Oil City, Mark Wallace of Georgia, David Wallace of Casper, WY and Carole Ann Schroefel of Worland, WY; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Ritts was preceded in death by two sisters, Eleanor Hays and Marian Hayes; and a great-grandson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Steven Soltis, pastor of Emlenton United Methodist Church, officiating. To my knowledge Emsworth is in Allegheny Co. It is next to Sewickley, Glenfield and Glen Osborn. I think the dam on the Ohio River across from Neville Island is the Emworth Dam.
