I have a Peter Kappis that I have found spelled Kappes anad Kappais as well. He was a German mercenary fighting for the British in American Revolution. He married a Sarah ?. He then shows up in NJ married to her and having 9 children, having changed his name to Cavis. Hi; I am still researching Darlington WORRELL or any WORRELL's that would have been in Pleasantville around 1857 or 1858. My great great granddaddy died in Pleasantville in Feb 1858. Was there any kind of a disease going around at that time? Does anyone know what would have been going on in this area? I see a town called Oil City . . . were there oil wells in Pleasantville? January 11, 1799 d. August 24, 1873 and married William Tyson Hunsberger. I have often seen Tinsman spelled Tinstman. Barbara's father was Abraham Tinsman b. January 12, 1768 d. March 28, 1842. Is this link in the reference book on Tinstman? There are also Latchaw's in my line.

I Daniel Wasson of Scrubgrass Township Venango County Pa. being sick and weak in body, but of sound mind, memory, and understanding and considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof and to the end I may be the better prepared to leave this world whenever it shall please God to call me home do therefore make and deliver this my last will and testament in the manner following. Hello Venango County genealogists, I'm trying to identify the newspaper which would possibly contain an obituary for one of my deceased relatives. Hanna E. HAGGERTY died 24 Jan 1900 in Franklin, Venango, Pennsylvania. I've previously requested the News Herald from InterLibrary Loan but they say this newspaper began in 1919.
