Born May 30, 1917, in Argentine, Butler Co., she was a daughter of Acie R. and Cynthia G. Morgan Say. In her earlier years, Mrs. Hofacker was employed by Farmers Bank and Industrial Colloids both in Emlenton. She was married to Harry Orval Hovis, who died March 9, 1981. She then was married in Rimersbug June 12, 1986, to Frank J. Hofacker who survives. Also surviving are one son, Harry E. "Gene" Hovis of Knox; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five stepchildren and a number of step grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. She also is survived by two brothers, Cecil Say of New Kensington and George Say of Parker; and three sisters, Frances and Shirley Say and Mrs. Glenn (Charlotte) Boyd, all of Argentine. In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jean SeDoris, and two infant brothers. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Christopher M. Hile funeral Home, Emlenton with Rev, Jack E. Benninger, pastor of Zion Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist church, officiating. Interment will follow in Crawford Memorial Cemetery in Emlenton.

He was a son of Rev. G. B. Fox and Harriett Kribbs Fox and was born in Emlenton on January 22 1870 and had spent his entire life in that community. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church, was active in all church affairs, and served as a member of the church council. He was affiliated with Emlenton Lodge No. 644, I.O.O.F. Mr. Fox was twice married. His first wife, a daughter of Samuel W. and Jane C. Crawford, died in 1933. He later married Miss Carrie Giering. Who survives. He also leaves two children by his first marriage, Clarence Fox, of Emlenton, and Mrs. Harriet F. Scott, of Dearborn, MI Six grandchildren also survive. The body was taken to the Criswell funeral home and will be returned to the family home today. A funeral service will be conducted at the house at 3 p.m. Sunday with Rev. A. E. Maier, pastor of St. John's church, officiating. Interment will be in the Crawford Memorial cemetery in Emlenton.

Born February 14, 1925, in Templeton, she was a daughter of Clark and Ida Zimmerman Yockey. She was married November 20, 1954, to John Lehnortt, who survives. Mrs. Lehnortt was a member of the Methodist Church of Seneca. She came to Emlenton nine years ago and attended the New Zion Church in Emlenton RD 1. In addition to her husband, she is survived by five children: Cynthia, Robert, Everett, Barbara and Zethina, all at home; a stepson, Terrence, in the USAF in Goose Bay, Labrador; and her father. Friends are being received at the Criswell Funeral Home in Emlenton. funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home with Rev. L. C. Luddington, pastor of the New Zion Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Crawford Memorial Cemetery in Emlenton.

Born Nov. 18, 1930 in Emlenton, she was the daughter of William Melvin and Pearl Shawkey Haas. She was a graduate of Emlenton High School and lived her entire life in the Emlenton area. She was married to Marion Edward Weller of Emlenton Oct. 28, 1950. He survives. Mrs. Weller was employed at area stores for more than 25 years. She worked for the Rembold Heating and Plumbing Co. as bookkeeper and later at Harry's Market as manager, leaving there in 1977. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church and an active member of the church choir and the women's organization. Mrs. Weller was also a past noble grand of Lady Emlen Rebekah Lodge, and a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Ladies Auxiliary to the Fire Co. Besides her husband, she is survived by her mother Pearl S. Haas of Emlenton, a daughter, Mrs. Melissa A. Bowman, Emlenton; a sister Mrs. Pryor (Dor! othy) Berry of Chicora; and two grandchildren. Friends were received at the Robert F. Criswell Funeral Home where the services were held with the Rev. Darrell Knopp, pastor of United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Daubenspeck and one sister, Carrie G. Fox of Emlenton. The body has been removed to the Criswell Funeral Home in Emlenton. Interment was in Emlenton Cemetery.

He was born in Coolspring, June 30, 1907, a son of George McClelland and Lillie Neill Shick. He retired from Q.S. in 1972 after 43 years of service. After retiring, he worked part time as a painter and paperhanger. Mr. Shick was a member of the U.M. Church. He was married to the former Helen Giering of Emlenton. She survives along with 3 daughters, Mrs. Charles (Joanne) McNany of Meadville, Mrs. Allen (Betty) Lipko of Kennerdell & Mrs. Dwight (Carole) Stover of Knox; 12 grandchildren and a great grandson.. Born Nov. 1, 1932, near Callensburg, he was the son of the late George and Alice Canaan Hallman. A U.S. Army veteran, he had served in the Korean Conflict. He had worked for Quaker State Refinery in Emlenton for 25 years and the Farmer's National Bank for 11 years. At the same time, he had been a self-employed painter. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Emlenton, and was a former Cubmaster of Cub Pack 41. Surviving are his wife, Mabel C. Rector Hallman, whom he married July 3, 1958; a son, Robert C., of Dover, Del.; a brother, Lewis, of Taberg, N.Y.; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy King of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews. A brother proceeded him in death. Friends of Clair S. Hallman, of Emlenton, who died Sept. 15, 1984, will be received at the Criswell-Gardinier Funeral Home, Main Street, Emlenton. Rev. She taught at Bruin, Butler Co., West Hickory and Scrubgrass Twp schools including the one-room McGinnis School near Big Bend. She was married Aug 31, 1940 to S/Sgt. Thomas R. Faull, who was killed in action Nov. 6, 1944, during World War II. Following the war Mrs. Faull made her home with her father on the family farm at Emlenton RD2, Scrubgrass Twp. Surviving are seven nieces and seven nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Faull was preceded in death by two sisters, Mabel Fox and Erma Allen, and four brothers Wallace Lynn, Harold Lynn, Mont Lynn and D. Arnold Lynn. A Memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jun 14, in the Emlenton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Soltis, pastor, officiating. Interment was in Emlenton Cemetery.

Mrs. Criswell moved to Lancaster to be near her family. She is survived by a son, Robert F. Criswell, Jr. of Lancaster; a sister, Mrs. Albert (Susan) Goodgasell of Henderson, NV ; three grandsons and two step grandsons. Born Feb. 6, 1909, in Franklin, he was a son of Ernest and Eva DUNLAP Pyle. Mr. Pyle was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army in the Pacific Theater where he was involved in the battles of Guadalcanal, North Solomon and New Guinea. He earned the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal with three Bronze Stars and a Sharpshooter Medal. He retired as a machinist from Joy Manufacturing after more than 30 years of service. Mr. Pyle was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was married Jan. 17, 1942, to Mary Catherine ROBERTSON, who preceded him in death. Surviving are a son and his wife, John and Ann Pyle of Richland Center, Wis.; a daughter, Jeannie M. HAMILTON of Franklin; and four grandchildren, Diana Pyle of Raleigh, N.C., David Pyle of South Bend, Ind., Adam Pyle of! Bloomington, Ind., and Amy Pyle of Madison, Wis. He also is survived by two sisters, Myra MAIER and Mary Etta OAKES, both of Franklin. Miss Thompson had been employed in Greensburg as a trimmer for several weeks and had only been ill since last Friday.
