Joseph Zelnick lived in Chambersburg, Pa. during the 1936 - 1943 (approx.) timeframe. He was married to Alice Elizabeth (Betty) Schatzer (deceased). They divorced in 1943. Theron Dorn Turnbull was my grandfather. He married Maybelle Perkins (date unknown, but I could probably find it), Daughter of Isaiah and Susan (Lawrence) Perkins. They had four children: Robert Lawrence Turnbull (my father) b.1916 in Oil City, Sarah (Sally Tate after marriage to Robert Tate), James Alan Turnbull b.1923, and Lucille (Rial after marriage to John Rial). The latter three lived their lives in the Pittsburgh, PA area, but my father, who married Betty Louise Moore of Emsworth, PA (my mother), chose to relocate to Speculator, NY in the Adirondacks, where his grandfather Perkins originally had his expansive hunting camp. We also lived in Linesville, PA for a few years when I was a child in the late 1950's and very early '60's. I have very fond memories of Linesville. But for the mostpart, I grew up in Speculator .Theron died in 1960 (I think). I have much more information if you are interested. Most of it will come from memory, since I have lost many photos! and documents, and all four of the children of Theron are deceased (they were my primary source of information).

My grandfather only lived there a short period of time as a young boy - but it was that period when kids explore and see the world as being a bit bigger than they originally thought. So he loved the farm and apparently so did his dad. My great grandmother on the other hand.... ;-) Thanks for the offer! Very much appreciate it. Rod

What she was interested in was the origin. The research I found was related to the Phenicia or Phonicia small area in Palestien, Beruit or area of Jews and Cannanites. With their migration toward the west the French refered to them as Le Phenicees. I did find there was a great migration of the name in Pennsylvania. She doesn't know any of his ancestors, just wanted to know what nationality they were.

Is St Josephs Cemetery a 'visible' part of Grove Hill? Totally separate or a combination? I ask because my ggm was born Roman Catholic and I am still trying to reconcile her being buried in a non Catholic Cemetery. Eliz
