Greetings, I have been following this discussion with some interest since I have collateral connection to all three of these families. The one question I have concerns the Horn family. A John Steven Horn, who was mentioned earlier in this thread, married Jessie R. Baum, which is my connection to the Horns. My question concerns Jessie's cousin Ethel Beatrice Weikal. She married a Jesse Horn and I was wonder if this Jesse Horn, who would have been born around 1885 and died in 1945, had any connection to John Steven Horn. Thanks! Chelsea, Jennie Mabel Perry was the daughter of William Vernon Perry and Sarah Jane Standley of Tippery (Ten Mile Bottom) Cranberry Township. I am not sure how much more you are interested in but I have a lot more on this Perry family which includes the Karns and Stroup families of Venango Co. I am certainly willing to share what I have on those families. As for the Standley family, there is a thread on that family, which interestingly enough has just been picked up again. It you search for the thread on this mailing list you will find some good info on the Standleys. Let me know what you are interested in. And you're not even from around there, if I have that right! Are you talking about Albert's homestead, Bible, pictures, etc., or a previous generation? On a side note, I looked into some of the Horns last year. I found some obits and burial sites, but I thought you might be interested to hear (if you didn't know already) that a gt-grandson of Albert's brother, John, is a County Commissioner for Venango County (there are three of them, and they run the county). His name is Larry E. Horn, and it works out to his being a 3rd cousin of yours. Let's hope our fellow Standley descendent does a good job taking care of our ancestral homeland!

I have a photograph of a Mr. and Mrs. Gus Lawson that was with photographs that belonged to my great grandmother and my great aunt who lived in Oil City. I have found no connection between our family and the Lawson family. They must have just been friends. According to the census their full names were Augustus and Annie Lawson. In the 1880 census they lived in Franklin. He was 31, she was 29 and they were from Sweden. At that time they had a son, John who was two years old and born in PA. If anyone knows of any of their descendants, I would be happy to send this photograph to them. If you would like to see a scanned copy of it, just email me.
