Both are recently updated from my 1999 book: Clifford, H. F.: The Oil Creek Flemings of Venango County, Pennsylvania, with related families. One web site <http://www.fleming.oilcreekgenealogy.net/> deals with the surname Fleming, starting with John and Sarah (Reed) Fleming of Fayette County, Pennsylvania, and follows the descendants of their six sons (Andrew, Daniel, Samuel, James, Edward and Ezekiel) through several generations. Many of the Fleming sons’ descendants were located in Oil Creek Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania; and the web site includes a section on “Oil and our Oil Creek ancestors.” The other web site <http://www.mcclint.oilcreekgenealogy.net/> deals with the related families McClintocks and Culbertsons, starting with the known founders in eastern Pennsylvania, Francis McClintock and Patrick Culbertson. Many of their descendants located in Venango and Crawford Counties, Pennsylvania, especially descendants of brothers Hamilton and Francis McClintock of Cornplanter Township, Venango County, and Robert and Jane (Culbertson) McFate of Venango and Crawford Counties, Pennsylvania.
The Pennsylvania Room of the Franklin Public Library is open noon to 5:00 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and an occasional Saturday. Call to be sure - 814-432-5062. There are thousands of obituaries on file there, with micro-film newspapers for most of them, plus cemetery records, including the Franklin Cemetery. The Venango County Historical Society has a research library which is open Wed. & Thurs. 10 - 2 until the end of Dec. Sylvia M. Coast

If you want to get vital records then you would want to go to the Court House in Franklin. There is also a historical society in Franklin. These are all close together. Let me know if you need to know when these places are open for research. They are only open a couple days a week.
