The Lowe Cemetery , sometimes called the old Scrubgrass cemetery , in Allegheny twp. Butler Co. , about 1/2 a mile from it is the Scrubgrass Cemetery in Venango Co. It is the Original Scrubgrass Cemetery, as noted by some of the information from some of the older ones who lived in this area. (There has been a beautiful sign placed there by some of the Crawford family and listed as "The Lowe Cemetery," my granddaughter used this very old cemetery as her Senior project at ACV high school last year 2004) She had it looking really nice. Personal I have never heard of the McQuistion Cemetery around my area, but there were families of that name Shirley Blauser Pearce Shirley Pearce [email protected] EarthLink Revolves Around You.

The Venango Co Historical Society, 301 S Park St, Franklin PA 16323, has published a number of volumes on Venango Co cemeteries--Scrubgrass is Vol 3. Scrubgrass Cemetery is NOT McQuiston Cem. It is located in the far SE corner of Venango Co just West of Emlenton nr Crawfords Corners & the Butler Co line. There are MOYN/MOYNEs located in Section OSS. No AXTELLs appear in Scrubgrass Twp. PARK/PARKS appear in the cemetery in Section B, and others in East Unity Presbyterian Cem, which is actually in Allegheny Tp, Butler Co. If you will state specifically whom you are looking for, I may be able to help you since I have Vol 3--or you can order directly from the Venango Historical Society.
