The only thing I know is that Margaret Simcox was born about 1834 (plus or minus a year or two), daughter of John SIMCOX and Lydia ADAMS. A published biography on Margaret's brother, Shadrach, names his "sister Margaret who married G. McMULLIN". That is all I have to go on. I found Galbraith in the 1850 census, but is wife is Sarah J. then. Can you give me the details of how you have Galbraith married to a Margaret? In what census have you found him with a wife Margaret. Perhaps Margaret was his second wife. Tell me what more you know and maybe we can put this together. Thanks.
Sorry for the multiple list posting, but want everyone to be aware that this rare book is being reproduced on a limited edition basis. It was originally produced by the Oilmen's Association for their Reunion in 1907. It is full of great ads and articles. They were written during the time period when the people who were involved in the oil industry in Western PA were still around. A short story of The United State Well that originated Pithole and the story of 'Spotty" McBride are just a couple of things included in this book. For more information go to www.rootsweb.com/~pabutle2. This book is being offered by the Butler County, PA Genealogical Society. Thanks!
