I am currently researching David Montgomery and Family. I was wondering if someone could find David Montgomery and Mary Sutton's Marriage Record. They were married Dec. 21, 1871 by Rev. Boyd in Oil City. Also I would like to see if there is a marriage record for David Montgomery and Julia Kephart married 1839 or 1840. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This list has been very active so I thought I would ask this question to see if any of you might have a book or record that might further document one of my ancestors. His name is Morris Beach and his parents were Stephen Whitehead Beach and Hannah Matthews. He was born in NJ, 1807 and his mother died within a year of his birth. His father, Stephen W. Beach remarried the next year to Martha Simpson also from NJ. Sometime between 1811-1818 they removed from NJ to PA. I found documentation of this in History of Mercer Co. PA as well as History of Venango Co. PA, both published in the late 19th century. Stephen and Martha were both members of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Irwin, Venango Co. PA and are buried in the cemetery there. I was hoping there would also be a record of this first child Morris, by previous marriage, in some old Venango Co records. Stephen and Martha had an additional 12 children, and Oliver Beach is the one documented in the books and in his bio, his brother Morris is mentioned. Morris is first listed in the 1850 c married and removed to Ohio. If anyone has any old PA/Venango books that may shed more light on Morris and his time as a boy in PA, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much. Eve in NC

Jerrold died in 1929, according to his tomb stone in the Nickleville Cemetery, which is also his mother's tombstone who died in 1899. Any help you can give is appreciated. I am researching the Crawford family of Venango County, especially the Robert Crawford and Eleanor Smith Crawford family. I would like to know if anyone has any records of the McQuiston Cemetery for the Robert Crawford family. I would like to know, if possible the death dates of Robert Crawford, {1826 - 183?, Eleanor Smith Crawford {1755 - 1820 - 1825}, their daughter Abbie or Abigail Crawford McQuiston d: btw 1805 - 1810, John and/or Esther Riddle or Riddel, Elizabeth and David Eakin, and any other Crawford family members who may be buried at that Cemetery. Robert and Eleanor may have had eight or nine children. I have looked online at other cemeteries and believe this may be the correct cemetery. Robert and Eleanor {Smith} Crawford were married about 1781 - 1782 in Huntington Township of York County, then lived in Westmoreland County, Donegal Township for several years before moving to Venango County about 1802. Robert Crawford had a Warrant #12, of about 208 acres - Volume H - No. 37 - page 301 in Venango County, returned date of 1837, probably after his death, when one of his sons sold the property. I am hoping for some help in finding the marriage date of a David L. Swarts son of Mary and John Swarts of Clarion, Co. Pa to Ella May Say of Venango, Co, after 1870 and no later than 1878. Her parents were James and Susan Say. They had two children Mouvinta ( Vinta, Tenta) born about Nov. 1878 in Oil City, Pa and Jerrold F. born about 1881 I think in February. Most likely in Oil City, Pa. as well. The 1881 year date was found in Jerrold's WWI information form that he signed. I know that this is the right Jerrold, because he list his sister Vinta Edwards as being his next of kin. However here is the kicker. When he died and was buried in Nickleville Cemetery in Nickleville behind the Presbyterian Church the date of his birth on the tomb stone was listed as 1879. I know this is the right Jerrold because he is buried with his mother Ella May Say Swartz who died in 1899. I am also looking for an obit for Jerrold. Even though he didn't die at least I don't think he died in Venango Co. but rather in Chicago, or New Orleans in 1929, I am hoping that there might be listed an obit for him in one of the Venango, Co. papers. The month might be April but then again I am not sure. This whole family is rather a puzzle and any help I can get filling in this last little bit of the puzzle would be a help beyond measure. With finances being as they are with my husband on Social Security and recuperating from heart surgery I can't spend any money on genealogy stuff, like sending for death certificates and the like. The earliest records in these books for the Crawfords are Robert Crawford, Dr. of Cooperstown to Sarah Kelley of Cooperstown,on 21 Jun 1838. Source Franklin Intelligencer. There is a William Crawford mentioned in the History of Venango County book p665, William s/o John and Isabella Crawford to Nancy Reed on 29 Dec 1796. I too was looking for very early marriages in Venango, specifically the area around the Stone Church(Scrubgrass Presb.) There is a film you can order #857354 Item 1 for the Stone Church records from the Family History Center in Salt Lake. Unfortunately the earliest dates recorded were about 1833, mostly baptisms. The Presbyterian Historical Society http://www.covenantweb.org/phs.html has quite a few records submitted by clergy over the years. I have been able to locate early records thru their resources, but it's hit or miss at times. There are quite a few Craw! fords listed in these books for later dates.
