    3. Hello Ann, You letter SUBJECT: NEW BERLIN, PA was of important notice to me. The MITCHEL family of New Berlin were my ancestors. It started with George MITCHEL b. April 18, 1764 who with his wife Elizabeth purchased a farm at the side of Penn's creek on April 15, 1794. Their children were Mary Polly Mitchel b.April 27, 1788 who married Henry Boyer. Jacob Mitchel b. March 6, 1789 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co. d. Jan. 11, 1841 in Union Co, New Berlin. (He was my 3rd great grandfather) I know this line of the family down to me. John Mitchel b. Feb. 5, 1792 d. July 3, 1862 m. Sarah Salome Ritzman, George Mitchel b. Sept. 30, 1794 d. 1886 in New Berlin m. Elizabeth Anderson. William Mitchel b. 1797 d. Jan 24, 1878 Ashland Twp, Clarion Co, m. Rebecca A., Tobias Mitchel b. July 10 1799, d. March 1, 1885 m. Nancy Elizabeth Katherman 1819, Union Co, PA., Henry Mitchel b. May 23 1802 Limestone Twp, Union Co, d. December 7, 1884 w. Beaver Twp. Snyder Co. m. Sarah Edmunds Mar 25, 1834, Joseph Mitchel b. April 30 1805, Hannah Mitchel b. April 27, 1808 Limestone Twp. Union Co., d. October 29, 1874 New Berlin, Union Co. m. Henry Musser Dec. 2, 1832. Jacob's son Uriah Mitchell (He changed the last name to two LL's) moved to Ohio before the Civil War, both he and his son were in the Civil War. The other families that stayed in New Berlin may have had the children that you list in your e-mail letter. Sure wished I knew. If you happen to run across any connections Please let me know.
