Hello. I just subscribed to the Union and Northumberland county lists. Not sure which will help the most. Most of the time when my families were there, it was Northumberland, but it became Union before they left. Am researching Adam COLPETZER (multitudes of spellings), Rev. War soldier, who married Esther ROTE, daughter of George ROTE who layed out a town site which joined with another town site and is now Mifflinburg, Union Co, PA. Adam's and Esther's son, George COLBETZER, b. 9 June 1785 PA, d. 23 Jun 1857 in Medina Co, Ohio, (aka George C. BETZER) is my ancestor. Would like to find evidence of George's marriage to a woman who died ca1831 (son born in 1827 states that his mother died when he was 4 yrs old). Possible name for her could be Mary BENFER. George followed his sons to Medina Co, Ohio. A brother was nearby in Wayne Co, OH. Sons moved on to Michigan and Indiana. One son stayed in Medina Co. Anyone else researching these families??
