Sorry I don't know more. > Marcia in Washington, Pa. ///////////////////////////////////////// To coat-tail on what Marcia has offered, let me add that about six years ago I found the Union Co. Historical Soc. located in a small office within the county courthouse. Union Co. was taken off of Northumberland Co. in 1813, so records for persons living in the area of Union Co. before 1813 will be found in Northumberland Co., except that before 1772 you may find some of their ancestors' records also in Cumberland and Berks Counties. County seat for Northumberland Co. is Sunbury. The college located in Selinsgrove, Snyder Co., is Susquehanna College. Snyder Co. was taken off of Union Co. in 1855, so all those people living in the southern half of Union Co. before 1855 will have legal papers filed in Snyder Co. after 1855. Selinsgrove is county seat for Snyder Co. Another research tip is that a large number of residents from Union Co. resettled in Clarion Co., which was formed in 1839. The county seat is Clarion.
