My ancestors, the Huntsman, were in Northumberland co, Buffalo Twp, in the 1770-1790s. I now find that this area is in Union county. I've had little luck finding much of them in Northumberland, so perhaps I'll have better luck in Union. James Huntsman is listed as living in Buffalo Twp as early as 1780, and was a contributing member of the Buffalo Cross-Roads Presbyterian church in 1787. He was on a list of inhabitants of East Buffalo in 1796, and there was a Ranger from Northumberland from 1778-1783 named James Huntsman. There were both father and son James Huntsman, and supposedly the father married Deborah Massey, and the son married Mary Snyder. I an having absolutely no luck tracking down these marriages, their children, etc. Is anyone familiar with any of these people? Are there any records around from the Cross-Roads Presbyterian church?
