I am new to the list and new to searching in Pennsylvania. I have recently found my ggggrandfather born in Union County in 1840. My gggggrandfather was born in Snyder County in 1817. I have checked the PAGENWEB page for counties and it says that Union County was formed in 1813 from Northumberland and that Snyder County was formed from Union County in 1855. My question is in regards to where and how should I be searching for records? In what county for the year 1817. Would I go to Union for Snyder County records in 1817? Thank you for any help. Bev
