Can anyone help me find the parents of John Shirk, b. 2 Dec 1816, Lancaster Co., PA and d. 26 April 1880, in Weiker, Union Co.,PA. He married Lydia Showalter, b. 25 Feb 1823, Lancaster Co, d. 26 April 1899 in Union Co. They had the following children: Angeline b.1843, Susannah b. 1845, Catharine b. 1847,Samuel b. 1848, Rebeca b.1850, Elizabeth b.1852, John Jr. b.1854, Daniel b.1856, Josiah b.1858, Martin b.1859, Alice b.1862, William b.1863, and Sylvester b.1864. I have a little more on some of the children and their descendants that I would love to share or compare. John Sr, father may have been Abram and grandfather Samuel but have no evidence and have not been able to track it down. Would appreciate any help. Joan
