Hi all! I have received an good response for the County links page, especially for the surnames! Thank you! If there is anyone out there who has submitted a surname to be posted and it is not on the page right now, please let me know again and I will make sure it gets there. I had a misfortune a few days ago where one of my files became corrupt and I lost some data. I had to go back to a file which was a little (a few hours) older and I think I might have lost a name or two. If this is the case, please resubmit your information and I will post it. I am making sure I follow the golden rule of computers next time : Back it up! Based on your interest in the posting of specific information, I have started a new page, devoted to the search for 3-4 specific names under one surname. The only thing I need is for you to describe exactly how you want the listing to appear. I will basically copy what you tell me into the list so others can see exactly what you are looking for, not a paraphrasing from me, which may contain mistakes. I will break each listing down by SURNAME. If you have multiple surnames, group up to 4 names (James, John, Elias, etc) per each surname together and I will post them with your name and email, the same as the Surname page. After I update this new page, I will post a link next to the Surname on the Surnames page so visitors can jump to the page with the information request from you. I have received a few emails with specific information (first names, dates, etc) already, but I need to ask you to resubmit the email with the information as described above. This is only for clarity in the information I will post, to save us all from confusion. Thank you for being understanding. The page is not fully operational, but will be on my next update, probably by the weekend. I am still working on the Snyder County Tribune section of the page, but I am about 2/3 of the way through it. Be patient! If there is anything else you wish to see on the page, which may be in my power, please let me know. Thank you! Visit the page at : http://yourpage.blazenet.net/areich/ Andy Reichenbach

Have you checked the surname spelling of Beyer as Byer(s)? My gggg grandfather's surname was Beyer and it changed to Byers. He was Dr. Charles Byers from Union County PA - died 1830. --- PAUNION-D-request@rootsweb.com wrote: > ATTACHMENT part 1 message/rfc822 > > PAUNION-D Digest Volume 99 : Issue 143 > > Today's Topics: > #1 BERKHEISER/BURGHAUSER ["Gregory > Phillips" <pennmass@potts] > #2 Lepley ["Mary > Smith" <smithmary@home.com>] > > Administrivia: > To unsubscribe from PAUNION-D, send a message to > > PAUNION-D-request@rootsweb.com > > that contains in the body of the message the command > > unsubscribe > > and no other text. Of the requests made of me for specific listings in the Snyder County Tribune, is there anyone out there who aske for a description of a name I have posted on this list? I don't want to forget anybody. If you made a request based on a name I have POSTED and haven't heard anything, please email me and I'll get on it! Thanks Andy Reichenbach
I am in the process of creating a home page and I am including several genealogical research-type links, including the Snyder County Tribune lookups. I also would like to add a section about other people's home pages which have family research information for other researchers to view. Would anyone be interested in posting to this page? Granted, it isn't an award winning site, but it might be another good place for fellow Snyder County and Union County researchers to find a little more information from each other. If anyone is interested, please let me know. The page is preliminary right now, but still presentable. I wanted to get it on the web as soon as possible. Thanks Andy Reichenbach
As it turns out, Isaac ROMIG was my paternal g-g-grandfather. He and his son, Charles are buried in the Selinsgrove Union Cemetery. While looking through the Snyder County Tribune, I came upon a supplement to the paper mentioning a train wreck at Kreamer. The article wasn't actually dated, but appeared on the microfilm rolls after the January 25, 1895 paper. It mentions the following names : Isaac D. Romig, Charles Romig, Mr. and Mrs. A.W. Potter, Miss Annie Potter, Miss Mollie Burns, Edward Hummel, Mr. and Mrs. Charles P. Ulrich, Miss Lottie Eby, Mr. and Mrs. A.W. Smith, Miss Carrie Hendricks, and Prof. R.L. Schroyer. If anyone has an interest in this article and would like to have a scanned image of it, let me know. I will send to anyone interested. Andy Reichenbach
Hi All! I am brand new to this list so I thought I would throw my Union Co. names out there and see if we have any matches. I believe my gg-grandfather Christian Lepley was born in Beavertown, Union Co, about 1815. He moved with his folks (his father's name was also Christian) to Ohio about 1832. Know he had a brother Egidius who was also called Gideon. Also know that they were baptized in the Ev. Luthern Church. Does any of this sound familar? Thanks in advance for any and all help! Mary M. Hi- I am looking for any BERKHEISERS and their relatives. Some other early names are Jacob and Catharine Berger, Michael and Dorothea Hoffman, Johannes and Susanna Beyer, and Johannes and Elizabeth Miller. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Gregory
I have just gone thru the Connecticut and Penn films about the controversy in the Wyoming valley . I THINK it was in there I saw the Huntsman name. I only noticed it because I have friends named Huntsman in Putnam co, Ohio currently. If you have anyone up in that area you think might be from the Connecticut side, there are lists of those who subscribed to go to Wyoming. Hope this may be of value to someone. Margaret Calvin.
My ancestors, the Huntsman, were in Northumberland co, Buffalo Twp, in the 1770-1790s. I now find that this area is in Union county. I've had little luck finding much of them in Northumberland, so perhaps I'll have better luck in Union. James Huntsman is listed as living in Buffalo Twp as early as 1780, and was a contributing member of the Buffalo Cross-Roads Presbyterian church in 1787. He was on a list of inhabitants of East Buffalo in 1796, and there was a Ranger from Northumberland from 1778-1783 named James Huntsman. There were both father and son James Huntsman, and supposedly the father married Deborah Massey, and the son married Mary Snyder. I an having absolutely no luck tracking down these marriages, their children, etc. Is anyone familiar with any of these people? Are there any records around from the Cross-Roads Presbyterian church? Thanks for any help and/or advice! Sandra
> Hello there... Does anyone have any information on Sarah Houghton who married Carpenter Miller ca 1831? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks... Bill
Dear Barbara: I am also interested in the White Deer Church records, although in the years from about 1800, family name GOODLANDER. Any help would be appreciated! Rita
