    3. Looking for any information on these family lines. Any tidbit is a help. Jacob Rupendall arrived in Philadelphia 6/21/1773 aboard the brigantine Dolphin from London. He was endentured to Dr. Kearsley of Philadelphia for 2years, 9mos. Tax records dtd 1785 for Augusta Twp, and land purchases from John Penn Jr. Also listed in book of Bell as taxable in Augusta Twp. Purchased lots #33 and #38 in Sunbury. Died in the winter of 1804-1805. I can't locate where he or his wife is buried. I have a Theordore Kiehl made coffin, Reverand Kramer Preaching funeral sermon, Adner Longshore digging 2 graves. That church were they part of? Children: Rosina (b.1780) m/Joseph Graham of Lewisburg, Caroline (?), Elizabeth (?), Merich (1796-1867) moved to Ohio, Abraham (bef 1800-1843) m/Mary Cole remained in Northumberland area-children scattered in all surrounding countries, Peter (1800-1853) m/Martha Reed moved to Stephenson Co, Ill., Jacob Jr (? died young), John (? died young), Isaac(?died young).. I've hit a wall. Has anyone come across the Rubendall, Rupenthal, Rubendolf, Rubendolf name in the early records of the counties. I also have several Reuben Rubendall's I have sketchy information on.and would like to confirm. Any help would be deeply appreciated. 1. The Gift
    2. As a gift to all genealogists around the world, wouldn't it be nice if we joined together, with a solemn promise never to name our children by their namesake; so that each and every infant born from now until the next millenium would have a different name? Just a thought. LOL Regards, Sun2Moon11@aol.com

    1. HATE/HAIT and GUYER
    2. James Ambrose
    3. My ancestor, Charles Hate was born in 1798. He married Elizabeth Guyer/Geyer and they had the following children: Peter, Rebecca, George and Elizabeth. Sometime after 1825 they moved to Ohio and later to Indiana where Charles died in 1889 and Elizabeth in 1861. Since this is all the information I have on the family, I would appreciate anything about either Charles or Elizabeth. I would also be interested in any information about any and all Hates or Guyers in Union Co. in this time frame. I don't know where they were in Ohio. Is there some sort of a migration from Union County to Ohio where others may have gone, too? Thanks in advance. Peggy Ambrose (AMB1050@earthlink.net)

    3. Just wanted to clear something up. A Roll Call on a genealogy list is when everyone who is on the list is asked to submit who they are and who they are researching so we can combine our efforts with others. Now, in response to your Diffenderfer/Deiffenderfer/Deiffendeifer, etc., There are a handful of Dieffenderfers in St. Peter's Reformed Church Cemetery, and St John's Lutheran Church cemetery, directly across the street. These two churches are on White Deer Churches Road, west of West Milton, Union County, PA. My gg-grandmother was Louisa Dieffenderfer. Here is what I know of her: 55. ADAM6 ROYER (JOEL5, JOEL4, CHRISTOPHER3, EMIG2, SEBASTIAN1) was born April 10, 1854, and died April 17, 1913. He married LOUISA DEIFFENDERFER March 28, 1875. She is buried in St. Peter's Cemetery. There may be a connection between our Deiffenderfers. 3. According to the 1850 Union County census, Thomas HARTLEY, aged 36, was living in Centre Township, which means he would have been born ca. 1814. In 1850 Snyder and Union counties were combined, and Centre Township (formed in 1805, and then a part of Northumberland County, as Union County was not formed until 1813) including present-day Penns Creek (also known as Centerville). [source: The Story of Snyder County]. In checking the "Snyder County Pioneers", I find no entries for any Hartleys. Do you find a natural progression in Thomas HARTLEY's family in each respective census for possible Johns. John would have been abt. 16 in 1860, and 26 in 1870. When/where did John HARTLEY die? Did he die in 1906 or after in PA? write for his death certificate. What about his obituary? Did he serve during the Civil War? write for his pension records. Check his will or other probate records for more clues. Is Thomas mentioned as an heir? Have you checked land records? Perhaps John and Thomas lived near each other. Perhaps there were land transactions between them. Only some suggestions, Sid At 02:44 PM 1/23/00 -0500, RonLyn Mockenhaupt wrote: > There is a Thomas Hartley age 36, >Sarah-35, Eliza 9, John 6, and Mary 1, living in Centre Twp., Union >County.
