    2. Robert Woodley
    3. Marilyn: With your mention of Union county cemeteries I wonder if I could butt in and ask the listers if anyone knows where Farley cemetery is located. It is pictured on page 178 of the History of Union county in the chapter on White Deer, Kelly and Gregg townships. The legend reads "Farley Cemetery at the foot of White Deer mountain with two Revolutionary soldier burials." A GNIS query returned no results so I would be grateful if anyone could tell me where it is located. Thanks very much, Robert in Bloomington, Indiana On Fri, 17 Mar 2000 Maize22@aol.com wrote: > Bev, > What a coincedence that you wrote about the name Zeller, basically because > yesterday at the LDS library I had reviewed the Micro FIlm on Cemetaries of > Union Co PA by Carolyn Haws (0847933 film no.) 3. I'm new to the list: Searching for the birth record of Catharina Zeller born June 3, 1811/ died July 30, 1849, buried at the Salem Ref. church in Bethel, Berks co.Pa. In an old Reading newspaper in Reading Hist. Society,Berks co. her death is listed in the paper and says she is the dau. of Benjamin Zeller. Is this Benj. Zeller who married Magdaline Braun/Brown in the Tulpehocken trinity Church, Lebanon County,Pa(close to Berks co.Pa).This Benj. was the son of Frantz Paul Zeller and wife, Eliz. Aurand who are buried at that church! In the Lebanon Hist. Society in the zeller books they have two birth records for a Benj. and Magdaline Zeller in a Deisbach luthern and Ref. church, but no location. People told me it could be the Dreisbach church in Union county,Pa. Can anyone verify that church to these two births: Frantz Zeller-b 11-4-1805 and Elizabeth b- 5-22-1808 to Benjamin and Magdaline Zeller? Thanks for any help. I need to locate a Catharina Zeller b- 6-3-1811 to a father Benjamin Zeller. ,Catharina Zeller married Michael Miller, both buried at salem Ref. Berks co,Pa ..p.s. I was told that there are lots of Zellers in Union county, possibly Lebanon County ,Pa Zellers......Bev

    3. I think an ancestor of mine died in 1829 in White Deer Valley. Ihave some indication that his name at the time was Christian CARRIHER or CARACHER. His widow is listed on the 1830 (Washington Twp.) Census as Elizabeth Caracher; his son Daniel is listed in the same twp. as Carriher and ten years later as CARTER which has been the family name ever since. Elizabeth Carter died in Dec., 1851 in Milton at the home of her son-in-law and is buried in Milton. Her obit says she was a resident of Lycoming Co. at the time. I"d like to find a record of Christian's death and/or burial. Anyone have any ideas? I THINK the family was Scots-Irish and Presbyterian. A number of the WDValley names are familiar ones; two of them, MILLER (definitely in 1851 at White Deer Church) and FORESMAN (I think) married into the Carter family. Thank you in advance. BarbaraCB

    3. My relative Larry App has on his web site http://www.skyenet.net/~larrya/index.html the full diary of M.S. Schroyer, who served in Company G, 157th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers, by his account the only company organized out of Snyder County. A couple App relations are listed, along with others, who tie in to Union County as well. This company saw wide action, including Gettysburg. For those of you interested and finding yourselves in the area, I have someone on my staff who is a certified tour guide at Gettysburg and can take you within ten feet of where this company fought. 3. To: Laura Alderson From: Bernie Yeatts RE: Union County Census Records We recently purchased the upgrade to Family Tree Maker version 7. One of the freebees that came with it was a free 2 month subscription to www.genealogylibrary.com This site has indexes for most if not all the decennial censuses for the various counties of Pennsylvania. And it has the images of the actual census records for 1850, again for most if not all counties. However, it costs almost $100 per year or $10.00 per month. This is the most complete set of census records we've seen. Have you visited your local LDS Family History Library? -----Original Message----- From: LWA101@aol.com <LWA101@aol.com> To: PAUNION-L@rootsweb.com <PAUNION-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Friday, February 18, 2000 12:05 PM Subject: Union County censuses online? >Can someone who feels sorry for my ignorance let me know for which >years--1850, 1860, 1870--there are Union County, PA censuses online, and >where to find them?
