In 1866, this Hampton family and about 50 other families made a wagon train and migrated to Williamson Co., TX. There Esky Hampton married Joseph Benton Bishop. They were my great great grandparents. My grandfather and my mother were born and raised in Williamson Co. just north of Georgetown (which is about 30 miles north of Austin.)
