Those of you researching Pattersons in early Virginia, might be interested in the book: "Tinkling Spring--Headwater of Freedom" by Howard McKnight Wilson, ThD. The church was begun in 1740. I believe the book mentions surnames Baskin, Patterson, Gillespie and I am sure, others as well. If it isn't in a library near you, ask if it can be gotten on inter-library loan. I believe the Family History library in Salt Lake has it, and your Family History Center may can order it at your request. Leave no stone unturned. Midge G.
