I am stuck at my gr-gr-gr-gr-gr grandfather Robert Patterson. All accounts say that he was born in Monmouth County, NJ in 1749. At some point prior to the Revolution he moved, either by himself or with parents-family?, to either Adams or York Co., PA. Either of these could have been Lancaster Co., at the time. About 1790 he appears in Washington Co., PA and has a wife, Mary Ann Scyoc, and children: Robert, James, Joanna, Timothy, William, John, Mary, Abigail and Peter. I do not know if she was his first wife and I know nothing of his parents or siblings. If anyone has any information about this Patterson line, I would be most appreciative.
