Hi Everyone -- Myself and serveral of my cousins are stuck with Norvill Patterson. Norvill Patterson was born about 1833ish. We know that he was born in Ohio and sometime around 1840 and 1843, his mother (Sena Patterson) moved him and his siblings to White County, Harrison Twnshp, Arkansas. We obtained this information from the 1850 census records. We are trying to find out where in Ohio Norvill was born, what is his mother's maiden name and who is his father. We have recently received a lead that the father might be a Joseph Patterson who married a Serena Montegomery but we haven't been able to confirm this yet. Arthur Patterson (1770-1818 or 1820's) married Catherine Sloan (?-1844). They came from County Down, Ireland in 1812 to NY then spent two years in PA. Next they went to Harrison Co, OH. Their son, Samuel married Jane Davis (1812-1891) on 3/11/1830 in Harrison Co. I don't know where in County Down that they lived nor what ship that they traveled on. I don't know where in NY nor PA. Samuel had brothers and sisters, but I don't know whom. I found Arthur and Samuel in Jefferson Co. on a census.
