Hello List, I've just found some of our PATERSON rellies on the 1901 census in Kirkpatrick Fleming in Dumfries - this is their entry; - Annanlea Cottage, Southern District of Kirkpatrick Fleming William PATERSON, head, 50, Freestone Quarry Manager, born Bathgate, Linlithgowshire Christina PATERSON, wife, 50, born Wishaw, Lanarkshire Elizabeth PATERSON, daughter, 16, Dressmaker, born Bothwell, Lanarkshire Robert PATERSON, son, 16, Engine Keeper, born Bothwell, Lanarkshire John PATERSON, son, 14, Message Boy, born Bothwell, Lanarkshire Grace PATERSON, daughter, 11, scholar, born Bothwell, Lanarkshire William PATERSON, son, 7, scholar, born Bothwell, Lanarkshire Christina's maiden name was McPHAIL, and the family had two other daughters, Mary, who would have been about 23 by the time of this census, and Ellen, who would have been about 18. Does anyone else recognise this family ?
